On Artistry is a project created to celebrate makers. Upon the start the project, I selected five artists, each with their unique craft, and interviewed them, in order to learn about their person, their life, and their craft. 

From each interview, I designed a unique book to share that artist’s story. My hope is that this project projects their gifts and grows, within in each of us, a greater appreciation of art.

In the gallery, I wanted to display the books in a personal, relational way. As the book reads conversationally, reading one of the interviews is a very intimate thing. I wanted my space to both represent each artist, while inviting in visitors who know nothing of them prior. I did this by creating a living room like area for the books to be enjoyed.
